Red Wine Reduction

  • ¼ cup shallots, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • salt to taste
  1. Add the butter and melt to lightly coat the bottom of a saute pan and add shallots
  2. Saute the shallots until translucent
  3. Add the red wine and the broth to the pan and cook until reduced by half
